Office Assistant – Construction Office (In\-Person)
Urgently looking to hire an admin assistant for a construction company in Highland Park.
Full\-Time \| Monday–Friday \| 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1\-hour lunch)
Starting at $22\-25/hour depending on experience
We are seeking a highly organized, dependable Office Assistant for our fast\-paced construction office in Highland Park. This is a full\-time, in\-person position (not remote).
Applicants must live within 20–30 minutes of Highland Park, IL.
This role requires accuracy, focus, and the ability to take direction without becoming defensive. We run a tight operation — precision matters. Even small errors can have significant financial repercussions.
Key Responsibilities
\-Answer and manage incoming phone calls professionally
\-Take accurate, detailed messages with correct spelling and correctly recorded phone numbers
\-Schedule service calls and coordinate calendars
\-Place product/material orders
\-Check in product orders for clients and verify accuracy
\-Draft and type emails via dictation
\-Support daily office operations in a high\-volume construction environment

Qualifications:
\-Associates degree preferred
\-Construction office experience strongly preferred
\-Strong written and verbal communication skills\*
