Gerber Kawasaki is one of the fastest\-growing and most influential independent Wealth and Investment Management firms in the country. We are seeking a Tax Admin / Junior Tax Associate to support our Tax and Accounting department.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced candidate who is comfortable handling tax return preparation and administrative responsibilities in a fast\-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands\-on tax experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Salary\- $65K\+, DOE
This role is 100% in office 5 days/week, 8am\-5pm.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist with individual and business tax returns
- Organize and manage tax documents and client information
- Assist with tax return filing and e\-file processes
- Deliver excellent client communication, proactively following up on missing information, documentation, and tax\-related inquiries
- Maintain tax workflow and tracking systems
- Provide general administrative support to the Tax \& Accounting team
- Support tax planning and client initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum 3 years of relevant tax preparation experience (required)
- Experience preparing individual tax returns (business returns a plus)
- Experience with tax software (Lacerte, ProSeries, UltraTax, or similar preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and web\-based systems
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated sense of urgency, reliability, and accountability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast\-paced environment
- After successful completion of the 90\-day probationary period, one remote workday may be available
