Position Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team on a per diem or part\-time basis. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. As a CMA in our practice, you will support both administrative and clinical functions to ensure efficient operations and a positive patient experience.
This role offers flexible scheduling options, including a combination of in\-person and remote work, to accommodate both the practice’s needs and your availability.
Key Responsibilities: Clinical Duties (In\-Person):
- Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits.
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration).
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as specimen collection for lab testing.
- Administer immunizations and medications under provider supervision.
- Assist with minor procedures and wound care.
- Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments and work areas.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient check\-ins/check\-outs.
- Maintain accurate and updated patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Answer phone calls, handle patient inquiries, and relay messages to the clinical team.
- Coordinate prescription refills and prior authorizations.
- Support telehealth services by assisting with virtual visit preparation and follow\-up.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems.

Compensation:
* Hourly Rate: $20 to $24 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
