Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and customer\-focused Assistant Property Admin to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in real estate administration, property leasing, and facilities management to contribute to the efficient operation of our residential community. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of landlord\-tenant laws, and experience with property management software such as Yardi and Remote Landlord. This position is integral to maintaining positive tenant relationships, ensuring property compliance, and supporting the overall success of our properties.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing activities, tenant relations, and rent collection.
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and oversee facilities management to ensure properties are well\-maintained and compliant with safety standards.
- Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and lease agreements in accordance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines.
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi, Remote Landlord, and CMMS for data entry, reporting, and record keeping.
- Conduct tenant screenings, lease signings, and move\-in/move\-out inspections while adhering to legal administrative procedures.
- Handle conflict management situations professionally, resolving tenant disputes effectively while maintaining positive relationships.
- Support marketing efforts through upselling available units and promoting community amenities to prospective tenants.
- Maintain organized filing systems for legal documents, maintenance records, and tenant correspondence.
- Assist in preparing reports related to occupancy rates, rent collections, and maintenance status for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws including landlord\-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with Section 8 and Housing voucher processes.
- Experience using property management systems such as Yardi, Remote Landlord, or similar platforms is essential.
- Strong knowledge of legal administrative processes related to leases, contracts, and housing regulations.
- Background in customer service or sales within a real estate or property management setting is advantageous.
- Demonstrated conflict management skills along with effective negotiation abilities.
- Office experience including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and administrative support is required.
