Administrative Assistant – Memphis, TN
Advocates for Immigrant Rights is seeking to fill one full\-time position in the role of Administrative Assistant for our Memphis office. We need someone who is organized, self\-driven, and motivated with the ability to identify solutions to issues as they arise.
This is a full\-time hourly position, to start immediately. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support for Advocates for Immigrant Rights.
Duties include:
- File documents at Shelby County Probate Court and Memphis Immigration Court
- Prepare and post outgoing mail daily
- Process incoming mail daily
- Create and maintain client files
- Scan, organize and save client documents
- Set up for remote meetings/hearings/trainings
- Data entry and maintenance
- Maintain order in the office
- Maintain inventory of office supplies, office snacks
- Managing operational communications and scheduling maintenance and office cleaning
- Schedule appointments for Admin Team
- Agenda preparation and notetaking at staff meetings and where needed
- Assist with mailers
- Coordinate office events
- Managing shared space scheduling
- Coordinate regular tech hygiene practices
- Coordinating travel
- Community outreach
- Other administrative duties as required

Must demonstrate attention to detail and high level of organizational skills. Must have reliable transportation. Must have at least a High School Diploma or GED. Required skills include fluency in English, basic proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel), Google Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
Starting hourly wage is $17\.50 with increases upon successful demonstration of mastery of duties. In\-town travel reimbursements provided.
