Job Title: Pet Stylist / Groomer
Location: Buena Ventura Lakes/ Kissimmee
Schedule: 3–5 Days Per Week
Compensation: Competitive Base \+ Tips \+ Commission
The Role:
5 Paws Hotel \& Salon is looking for a skilled, detail\-oriented Pet Stylist to join our team. We aren't a "high\-volume factory" shop; we focus on quality, safety, and building real relationships with the dogs in our care. Our 20 years of experience offer a great place for all levels of groomers to gain experience and refine their skills.
We are looking for someone who is confident in their scissoring and finishing skills. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your table while being part of a supportive, professional pack. This role is mostly independent with the help of our receptionist and in\-person/virtual leadership from our grooming manager.
The Skillset We’re Looking For:
* Full\-Body Styling: Proficient in all\-over shaves, "Rough\-In" clipper work, and basic breed\-specific silhouettes.
* Scissor Mastery: Strong hand\-control with straights, curves, and thinning shears for seamless blending.
* The "Teddy Bear" Face: Ability to execute balanced, symmetrical round\-head and muzzle shapes.
* Technical Prep: You know that a great groom starts in the tub. You provide a 100% clean, fluff\-dried coat every time.
* Safety First: Expert handling of anxious or senior dogs and a flawless record of tool safety (no nicks/burns).
* Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all shared workspaces and grooming tools, contributing to a safe, efficient, and high\-standard salon environment.
* Client Communication \& Retention: Play an active role in scheduling and client retention by delivering thoughtful, detailed groom reports with tailored recommendations, coat/skin education, and any health or behavior insights.

Requirements:
* Experience: 1\+ years of professional grooming/styling experience (portfolio or photos of work required).
* Reliability: We require a consistent 3–5 day schedule to ensure our clients stay on track.
* Physicality: Ability to stand for shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
* Vibe: A hunger to keep improving and a genuine love for the dogs.
