Summary:
The People Analytics Coordinator at Pacific Seafood supports operational efficiency, labor optimization, and workforce performance across our seafood processing facilities. This role partners closely with Operations leadership to analyze workforce data, identify improvement opportunities, and support projects that enhance productivity and reduce labor costs.
This is an entry to mid\-level role designed for someone who is analytical, proactive, and eager to learn operations in a fast\-paced production environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with data but is equally comfortable being on\-site, asking questions, and helping teams improve how work gets done.### Key Responsibilities
1\. Labor \& Operations Support:
- Analyze workforce data including staffing levels, overtime, temp labor usage, attendance, and productivity
- Support efforts to improve labor efficiency, scheduling practices, and workforce utilization
- Identify trends related to overstaffing or understaffing and recommend improvements
- Assist in reducing labor costs while maintaining or improving production output
- Travel to processing facilities (\~50%) to observe operations and workforce performance
- Partner with plant leadership to understand production flow, labor allocation, and operational challenges
- Gather insights directly from the field to support data\-driven decision\-making
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards related to labor performance and productivity
- Translate data into clear, actionable insights for operations leaders
- Support development of presentations and visuals for leadership meetings
- Assist with operational improvement projects focused on labor efficiency and cost optimization
- Support benchmarking and standardization of metrics across locations
- Contribute to improving processes and reporting structures
- Improved visibility into labor usage and workforce trends
- Identification of opportunities to reduce overtime and temp labor
- Increased efficiency in workforce planning and production support
- Strong partnership with operations leaders through clear and actionable reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Analytics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment
- Experience working directly with operations teams, production, or plant environments
- Strong interest in labor efficiency, production performance, and operational improvement
- Ability to analyze data and translate it into practical, real\-world improvements
- Proficiency in Excel or similar tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with teams across multiple locations
- Experience analyzing labor utilization, staffing levels, or overtime trends
- Exposure to continuous improvement concepts (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Experience in food processing, seafood, or other labor\-intensive industries
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tool
- Bilingual, English\-Spanish
- Approximately 25%\-50% travel
- Combination of on\-site operational support and remote analysis
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
