- Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances
- Maintain documentation to support audit and internal control requirements
- Prepare and review accounting adjustments, including PAA entries
- Review and approve prepaid expenses to ensure proper classification

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited institution OR an Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field with 4 years working in a business office

Position title will be determined at the time of hire based on candidate experience and qualifications.
Job Details:
This position is responsible for performing advanced accounting and financial operations functions in support of university business activities. Key responsibilities include account reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable oversight, asset management, tax reporting, and financial system support.
This position ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and adherence to University of Wisconsin\-Whitewater, UW System (UWS), and Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA) policies and procedures.
This position is onsite and works standard hours Monday through Friday and reports to the Assistant Controller.
