We are a professional services and management firm overseeing a diverse portfolio of services and client properties. We are seeking a detail\-oriented Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast\-paced environment and enjoys balancing corporate\-level accounting with property\-specific financial management. This position is 6 months full time in the office and then is eligible for our Hybrid Policy of 2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

* Full\-Cycle Accounting Support: Manage day\-to\-day accounting operations for both the corporate entity and our small portfolio of managed resort HOA’s and Club properties.

* Month\-End Close: Lead or Co\-lead the month\-end closing process, including tracking of balance sheet accounts (excel workbooks), accrual journal entries, intercompany transfers, and second set of eyes on bank reconciliations. Onsite General Managers are responsible for P\&L accuracy and budget variances.

* Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate balance sheets, and P\&L statements for corporate executive team and property stakeholders.

* Accounts Payable/Receivable: Collaborate with Accounting Assistants to ensure property A/P and A/R cycles are completed. Draft or approve fund accounting reimbursements for A/P or A/R in the bank. Prepare corporate A/R invoicing and record corporate A/R receipts.

* Banking: Draft bank wires and ACHs for corporate and properties, one\-time or using preset templates for recurring items, such as quarterly collection of HOA assessments, or intercompany. QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise bank feeds for 3 corporate entities, multiple resort HOA’s, and Club properties.

* Tax Filings \& Compliance: Monthly sales tax filings. Year\-end 1099 preparation. Assist Controller with year\-end closeout and routing of information to tax preparers.

Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed.

Qualifications:

* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, business, or finance. Associates degree combined with equivalent amount of experience may be considered.

* Professional Experience: 3\+ years working in a similar accounting role (experience in hospitality or property management industry, real estate, or multi\-entry accounting a plus). Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles, international experience a plus.

* Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and proficiency using QuickBooks Desktop are required (we use Enterprise Desktop). May consider candidates having used multiple other accounting software systems, in lieu of no QuickBooks Desktop experience, if the skills are transferrable.

* Project Management: Proven experience managing projects is strongly preferred.

* Attributes: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive multi\-entity financial data.

* Organization: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance day\-to\-day tasks with long\-term project deadlines.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. on a daily basis.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time. The person having this position may have to sit for six (6\) hours, stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for two (2\) hours per day.
