William J. White Fellowship

Pyxera Global
Washington, DC, US
Posted Apr 15, 2026

Pyxera Global is a nonprofit social enterprise that connects global resources with local expertise to address our world’s most pressing challenges, one community at a time. Based in Washington, D.C., and active in over 100 countries, we build partnerships that put local leadership at the center of change.

We believe communities are best positioned to drive their own solutions, and lasting impact happens when they have the right tools and resources. By partnering with businesses, governments, and nonprofits, we aim to reshape global systems to ensure everyone has the opportunity to lead fulfilling and prosperous lives.

Our programs focus on food security, the circular economy, global health equity, and digital inclusion. Through our services—including corporate skills\-based volunteering, technical assistance, and strategic advisory—we help build the leadership and capacity needed to turn ideas into action.

Our vision is a world where equitable and regenerative systems enable all communities to thrive. We pursue this by creating partnerships that prioritize local stewardship, champion equity, and deliver transformative impact for a more just and regenerative future.

Pyxera Global is committed to diversity, inclusion, and environmental sustainability within and outside our organization.

About This Role

  • ### FELLOWSHIP SUMMARY:

The William J. White Fellowship for Solvable Problems honors the legacy of William J. White. He was a lifelong advocate for diverse voices, mentorship, and public service. Through this fellowship, Pyxera Global continues his legacy by investing in the next generation of social impact leaders.

The fellowship is designed as a hands\-on learning experience that provides fellows with meaningful exposure to a professional, mission\-driven environment. Fellows will receive mentorship from Pyxera Global leaders while contributing to strategic initiatives that strengthen business development and fundraising efforts. Through this work, fellows will help develop tools, systems, and pathways that enhance organizational efficiency and support the cultivation of new and lasting partnerships.

    ### PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Fellow we are currently recruiting will get unique insights into blended funding models for the social impact sector, an increasingly critical knowledge base in the current resource\-constrained environment for NGOs. The Fellow will work alongside a team of seasoned fundraising and business development professionals, supporting their efforts, while also contributing new ideas and insights into a rapidly\-changing field of work.

The Fellow’s primary responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Conduct targeted prospect research and qualification aligned to priority skills\-based volunteering (SBV) and long\-term programming (LTP) sectors; translate outreach conversations into well\-structured, actionable pipeline entries.
  • Support early\-stage opportunity development by preparing materials that advance conversations forward, and track engagement, follow\-ups, and next steps to ensure continuity across the pipeline.
  • Maintain accurate and timely Salesforce data entry across opportunities, contacts, and activities; support pipeline hygiene and data integrity across SBV and LTP verticals.
  • Surface insights on pipeline quality and activity to support data\-informed growth decisions across the Programs team.
  • Support the fundraising vertical by assisting with Salesforce data input, campaign creation and structuring, and ensuring alignment between fundraising activities and broader Programs business development efforts.
  • Requirements

  • ----------------
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. employment authorization
  • Currently enrolled in a community college or minority\-serving institution pursuing an associates or bachelors degree in business administration or management, operations, international development, information technology, public administration or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage data with consistency and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self\-starter who works well independently and collaboratively within a diverse, cross\-functional team.
  • Passion for social impact, global development, or nonprofit operations
  • ### COMPENSATION AND DURATION:

This is a paid fellowship opportunity. The fellowship will run approximately 4–6 months at a rate of $20/hour, with a target start date in May 2026 (flexible based on candidate availability). The Fellow will receive direct mentorship from members of Pyxera Global’s Leadership team.

Candidates based in the Washington, DC area are preferred to support a more engaging fellowship experience, particularly for those able to participate in a hybrid schedule (in\-office Mondays and Tuesdays). We remain open to considering fully remote candidates for the right individual.
