Compliance Search Specialist
Position Summary
The Compliance Search Specialist is responsible for conducting Military (SCRA) and Bankruptcy searches in accordance with client‑specific requirements throughout the foreclosure process. This position ensures that all searches and related compliance tasks are completed accurately, delivered in the format required by each client, and documented in accordance with firm and regulatory standards. The role also includes responsibility for re‑projecting SCRA and Bankruptcy events within the preferred client systems when those items are not ready for completion under client guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform Military (SCRA) and Bankruptcy searches for foreclosure matters in strict compliance with individual client requirements.
- Prepare and deliver completed searches to clients in the format, method, and timeframe specified by each client and the firm.
- Complete all associated compliance assignments related to SCRA and Bankruptcy search activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory and client standards.
- Manage re‑projections of SCRA and Bankruptcy events within clients preferred systems when events cannot be completed due to client‑specific timing, documentation, or procedural requirements.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all searches, compliance actions, and system updates to support internal quality control and audit readiness.
- Monitor client guidelines and procedural updates to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support workflow efficiency, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely progression of foreclosure files.
- High School Diploma required.
- Associates degree preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast\-paced, deadline\-driven legal environment.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
