The Education Services Assistant provides administrative and programmatic support to the Education Services team. This position assists with office tasks, program coordination, and provides direct support in the classroom when needed to promote high\-quality learning environments, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and education standards. The role is vital in supporting the smooth and effective delivery of educational services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:

Administrative Support

1\. Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date records of student attendance, assessments, enrollment, and academic progress in accordance with confidentiality standards.

2\. Assist with day\-to\-day office tasks such as data entry, photocopying, filing, etc.

3\. Assists with preparing reports, presentations, and materials for educational meetings, trainings, or evaluations.

4\. Assist in creating and altering training documentation.

5\. Support inventory and distribution of instructional materials and supplies.

Program \& Staff Support

6\. Assists educators and instructional staff with copying, organizing materials, and managing classroom resources.

7\. Assist teaching staff with classroom setup and materials preparation.

8\. Support teaching staff with the implementation of lesson plans.

9\. Support teaching staff with the monitoring of child behaviors and assist in managing transitions, routines, and group activities.

10\. Provide technical support to staff with classroom monitoring systems.

11\. Support program coordination by scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and assisting with communications.

12\. Support data collection and entry related to curriculum implementation, student performance, and compliance.

13\. Collaborate as a team with other components to develop and revise systems, policies, and procedures.

14\. Assist with service area training activities.

15\. Prepare and distribute materials for trainings, meetings, etc.

16\. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and workshops as required.

17\. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and growth in early childhood practices.

18\. Substitute in the classroom as needed.

Student \& Family Support

19\. Support school or program events such as family nights, student exhibitions, etc.

Compliance \& Documentation

20\. Assist in ensuring classroom and program practices align with Head Start Performance Standards, state licensing, and agency policies.

21\. Help track compliance data such as child assessments, lesson plans, and all other monitoring.

22\. Ensure documentation meets program and regulatory standards, including confidentiality.

23\. Support internal reviews, audits, or monitoring processes as needed.

24\. Assist in preparing files and reports for licensing agencies, grant requirements, or quality assurance.

Other

25\. Perform all other work\-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

  • Associate’s degree in related field.
  • Or Childhood Development Associate (CDA).
  • Sufficient English proficiency to comprehend both oral and written directions.
  • Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurability, and cleared state driving record check.
