As an *Analyst II*, you will:
- Perform a variety of analytical and technical responsibilities of routine and complex difficulty at the journey level pertaining to sensitive personnel issues including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), California Family Rights Act (CFRA), Non\-Industrial Disability Insurance (NDI), NDI\-Family Care Leave (NDI\-FCL), Reasonable Accommodations, fitness for duty, and Workers Compensation programs.
- Develop procedures and guidelines related to return\-to\-work and demonstrate a commitment to provide quality service that is accurate, timely, and exceeds our customers’ expectations.
- Four years of work experience performing analytical, technical, clerical, and/or customer service duties.
- Academic education from an accredited college/university may be substituted for the required experience on a year\-for\-year basis.
- Knowledge and analytical or technical experience in state civil service Human Resources (HR) programs and processes such as personnel transactions, NDI, FMLA, and worker’s compensation.
- Knowledge of creating MIRS reports.
- Broad knowledge of various HR laws, rules, policies and procedures.
- Ability to conduct research and analyze data to develop appropriate conclusions in support of recommended solutions and resolutions regarding personnel issues.
- Experience and ability to provide guidance to and advise departmental management on HR\-related issues.
- Team player who demonstrates a commitment to the whole team’s success, positive attitude, open\-mindedness, flexibility, tact, and good judgment.
- Ability to multi\-task, work in a fast\-paced environment, handle rapidly changing priorities, plan, organize, and prioritize workload, track and work on projects and monitor deadlines, and remain highly motivated.
