About this position as a Clinical Operations Intern

HopeHealth Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking a motivated and detail\-oriented clinical operations Intern from end of April 2026 through September 2026\. This internship offers hands\-on experience supporting clinical operations in a professional healthcare environment. Under the guidance of the Clinical Operations Coordinator, the intern will assist with scheduling, data management, and administrative tasks while gaining insight into how clinical teams operate in a healthcare environment. The role also provides the opportunity to learn from senior leadership, including the Chief Clinical Officer, offering exposure to executive\-level operations, decision\-making, and professional workflows.

What will you do as a Clinical Operations Intern

  • Provide administrative support to the Chief Clinical Officer
  • Maintain and update scheduling systems
  • Coordinate communication related to scheduling and team operations
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain internal databases and tracking systems
  • Organize, update, and maintain digital records and documentation
  • Assist with preparation, formatting, and distribution of internal communications, reports, and meeting materials
  • Assist with special projects and administrative initiatives as assigned
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient administrative operations
  • What are the qualifications to be a Clinical Operations Intern

  • Rising junior, senior, or co\-op student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Management, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Dependable, proactive, and professional with a strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem\-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate information clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, reports, and correspondence
  • Ability to compose clear and concise emails and internal communications
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to interpret basic data sets, track information, and ensure accuracy in data entry and reporting
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in a fast\-paced environment
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and contribute to process improvements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn and navigate internal scheduling and data management systems
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, and lift or move light office materials (up to 50lbs)
  • Professional office environment within a healthcare organization
  • In\-office role based in Providence, Rhode Island
  • Moderate noise level typical of an office setting
  • Collaborative, team\-oriented atmosphere with regular interaction across departments
  • Maintain confidentiality of patients, employees, and organizational information
  • Adhere to all HopeHealth policies regarding data privacy, HIPAA compliance, and information security
  • Access and use information systems only as required to perform job responsibilities
