The Accounting Associate is responsible for accurately performing full\-cycle Accounts Payable processes, supporting Accounts Receivable, billing, and collections, and maintaining organized financial records that support month\-end close, reporting, and audit readiness. The role places a primary emphasis on full\-scale AP while providing secondary support for AR\-related functions.
The Accounting Associate is expected to demonstrate a high level of accuracy, integrity, and accountability while collaborating with internal departments to ensure financial transactions are recorded and processed correctly.
Our team has a very busy schedule and a heavy workload and interacts frequently with various stakeholders in the course of supporting other departments and the vision of the firm. - Demonstrate ability to own and perform full\-cycle accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate invoice processing, proper documentation, timely payments, and compliance with internal controls by reviewing invoices, coding, and approvals for accuracy.
- Support payment processing and vendor account reconciliation.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal departments.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure accuracy of data.
- Assist and monitor accounts receivable processes.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with month\-end and year\-end closing procedures.
- Assist and support internal and external audit processes when required.
- Assist with facilities matters when required.
- Maintain professional relationships with vendors, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
- Accurate and timely completion of month\-end closing activities.
- Maintenance of well\-organized financial records and reconciliations.
- Minimal accounting errors and timely correction of discrepancies.
- Compliance with company accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Effective support of audits and financial reporting requirements.
- Professional collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and company information.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Complete assignments accurately and within established deadlines.
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability in all duties.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience required.
- Experience or familiarity with accounting\-related software (especially Deltek Vision) is preferred
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Maintains a strong understanding of project accounting methodologies and financial tracking.
- Ability to initiate offers of value, and analyze and solve problems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, build trust and rapport with stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple requests and commitments effectively
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong math and computer skills, particularly with excel spreadsheets and graphs
