Job Title: Assistant Director – Case Management Department

Position Overview
The Assistant Director of Case Management serves as the operational support leader of the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program and acts as the primary day\-to\-day support contact for case managers. This role works directly under the Chief Operating Officer to ensure the effective daily operation of the program, proper utilization of services, compliance with Medicaid regulations, and growth of the program census.
This position does not serve as the direct supervisor of case managers but instead functions as the first point of contact for operational guidance, workflow support, and program coordination while escalating clinical decisions and personnel matters to the COO.
The Assistant Director must demonstrate strong initiative, problem\-solving ability, organizational skills, and the ability to support a high\-performing team environment while maintaining program compliance and quality standards.
Essential Responsibilities
Program Operations \& Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for day\-to\-day operational questions from case managers.
- Provide guidance on workflows, documentation processes, and program procedures.
- Escalate clinical decisions and HR matters to the COO.
- Support COO in maintaining program structure and operational efficiency.
- Follow up on tasks assigned to case managers and interns and provide updates to COO.
- Assist COO in identifying program improvement opportunities.
- Identify clients within the organization who qualify for PSR services.
- Coordinate ANSA/CANS completion to determine eligibility.
- Ensure timely assessment completion to allow for assignment to case managers.
- Assist with census growth initiatives.
- Participate in occasional community outreach and marketing events to promote program services.
- Maintain an assigned caseload.
- Provide a minimum of 70 billable units weekly (17\.5 hours face\-to\-face services).
- Maintain high quality clinical documentation.
- Provide support to the remote data entry staff regarding questions on the following to prevent service delays:
- Assist with discrepancies and corrections.
- Work closely with billing to maintain proper service flow.
- Assist COO with internal and external audits.
- Monitor documentation quality trends.
- Identify staff training opportunities.
- Assist with program quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide coaching support to staff when documentation or performance concerns are identified (under COO direction).
- Provide operational guidance to case managers.
- Assist with onboarding coordination of new case managers.
- Help identify training needs within the department.
- Support COO in maintaining documentation and productivity standards.
- Work collaboratively with:

- Mandatory QMHP\-CS experience (no exceptions)
- Experience in case management programs required

Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health field required (Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, or related field).
Master’s degree preferred.
