LOS ANGELES DEPENDENCY LAWYERS, INC. (LADL) is the largest organization in the nation protecting indigent parents and families from child welfare agency overreach.
It is our mission to provide legal assistance to our clients to preserve the family and, in those instances where required, reunify the family through the use of innovative, effective, affirmative, and ethical legal principles and skills.
When the Department of Child and Family Services attempts to interfere in the parent\-child relationship, parents are in desperate need of vigorous advocacy by specially trained counsel. LADL attorneys are appointed to represent parents in crisis, helping families remain intact or regain custody of children the state has removed from their home. LADL attorneys lead interdisciplinary teams including paralegals, LADL social workers, investigators, parent partners, medical and other experts, and experienced supervisors, in preparing and presenting legal defenses in court every day. LADL executes our legal work with innovation, passion, and the highest ethical principles. LADL also expands our advocacy by engaging in the ongoing policy and legislative conversations regarding parents’ rights at the county, state, and national levels.
