We are seeking a highly organized and detail\-oriented Estate Planning Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will support attorneys in preparing and managing estate planning documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards. Your proactive approach and strong research skills will help facilitate smooth client interactions and efficient case management. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives
- Conduct comprehensive legal research across various areas including estate law, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), and other relevant legal fields
- Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are accurate, organized, and up\-to\-date
- Perform document review and proofreading to guarantee clarity, consistency, and compliance with legal standards
- Coordinate client interviews by preparing questionnaires, gathering necessary information, and documenting details accurately
- Support litigation processes related to estate disputes or trust administration when necessary
- Maintain effective communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams through professional phone etiquette and organizational skills
- Proven experience in estate planning and familiarity with environmental law, family law, securities law, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, litigation, and immigration law
- Strong project management abilities to handle multiple cases efficiently while adhering to deadlines
- Proficiency with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents, contracts, memos, and correspondence
- Exceptional proofreading and transcription abilities to ensure error\-free documentation
- Knowledge of document review processes and familiarity with legal administrative experience in a law office setting
- Strong organizational skills combined with clerical experience including filing, data entry, and administrative support
