Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Legal Operations \& Case Management Manager to lead our legal team’s operational functions and streamline case management processes. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to enhance legal workflows, implement innovative technology solutions, and support a wide range of legal disciplines including litigation, estate planning, environmental law, and more. Duties
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of legal case management using systems such as iManage, PCLaw, and document management platforms to ensure seamless workflow and data integrity.
- Develop, implement, and refine legal administrative procedures to improve efficiency in document review, legal research, and case tracking.
- Manage legal project timelines, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines across multiple disciplines including securities law, tribal law, patent law, and workers' compensation law.
- Conduct comprehensive research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support legal strategies; prepare detailed reports and summaries for attorneys.
- Support litigation activities by organizing case files, reviewing documents for relevance and accuracy, proofreading legal drafts, and assisting with transcription tasks.
- Facilitate communication between attorneys, clients, courts, and external partners through professional phone etiquette and organizational skills.
- Assist with the onboarding of new legal team members by providing training on case management systems like iManage and document review protocols.
- Proven experience in legal administrative roles or as a paralegal within a law office environment; familiarity with diverse practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, or patent law is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal research tools including LexisNexis and Westlaw; experience with document management systems like iManage is preferred.
- Knowledge of UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), PCLaw software, and other legal case management platforms.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting contracts, legal memoranda, and correspondence; strong proofreading and transcription abilities are essential.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with experience managing large volumes of documents through filing systems and data entry processes.
- Ability to communicate professionally via phone and email; exceptional clerical experience including administrative support functions such as scheduling and filing.
