The mission of the City of Phoenix Housing Department is to provide quality affordable housing and a pathway to self\-sufficiency. The department serves as the Phoenix Housing Authority managing public housing, the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, new housing development, and affordable housing properties. The Department's various housing programs provide homes to more than 35,000 Phoenix residents.
This Secretary II position in the Housing Department performs skilled secretarial and general clerical work which requires typing, filing, and related activities and is responsible for front line, bilingual, in\-person and over the phone customer service. Much of the work is performed within Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Emphasys Elite Work Order system. Independent judgment in the disposition of routine matters for one or more supervisors is an important element of this position. The Secretary II is tasked with answering calls through a telephone Contact Center for general Housing inquires and taking work order requests submitted by tenants and entering them in the Emphasys Elite system. The position is located at 251 W. Washington on the 4th Floor of the Calvin C. Goode Municipal Building and reports to the Management Assistant II.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
SALARY
Pay Range: $18\.16 \- $25\.56 per hour
Hiring Range: $18\.16 \- $23\.18 per hour.
Pay Range Explanation:
