- Assist attorneys with legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to gather pertinent case law, statutes, and regulations across multiple practice areas including real estate and condo law, personal injury law, landlord\-tenant law, and more.
- Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, affidavits, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
- Manage case files; ensure all documents are organized, filed correctly, and easily accessible for attorneys’ review.
- Conduct thorough document review and legal research to support case strategies; verify facts and identify relevant precedents or statutory requirements.
- Coordinate client interviews through effective questioning techniques; document details accurately for case development.
- Support litigation processes by preparing trial binders, managing deadlines, scheduling court appearances, and tracking case progress.
- Perform administrative duties including data entry, calendar management for court dates or client meetings, proofreading legal documents for accuracy, transcribing dictations, and maintaining meticulous filing systems.
- Provide executive administrative support such as managing correspondence; answer phones with professional etiquette; organize meetings; handle confidential information discreetly.
- Proven paralegal experience; 2\+ Years of paralegal or legal assistant experience preferred.
- Knowledge of court procedures and legal terminology.
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Familiarity with case management tools.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; strong proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive legal research and analyze complex information efficiently.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong project management capabilities to coordinate tasks effectively within a busy law office environment.
- Proficiency in legal case management software such as Westlaw or LexisNexis; experience with document review platforms preferred.
