About the Role
Are you tired of being just another number on a disorganized job site, or are you exhausted from being "The Boss," the bookkeeper, and the laborer all at once? Maybe you feel like your attention to detail is overlooked in favor of "just getting it done." Or maybe you’ve been running your own show, but you're tired of spending your evenings doing invoices and your weekends chasing leads instead of doing what you actually love. Whether you are underappreciated in your current role or burnt out from the administrative headache of working for yourself, it’s time for a change.
At MCG, we don’t just build houses; we uphold architectural integrity. We take the paperwork and the chaos off your plate so you can focus on high\-level craftsmanship. You will be the primary on\-site expert—not just swinging a hammer, but acting as a mentor, a problem\-solver, and a partner in excellence. You’ll work hand\-in\-hand with our Quality Control Manager to ensure every joint and finish meets our "Gold Standard." We provide the steady projects and the support team; you provide the skill and the leadership. We respect the trade, we respect your time, and we respect the skill it takes to do things right the first time.
Compensation \& Growth
* Rate: COMPETITVE COMPENSATION INCLUDING BENEFITS
* Growth Track: We reward excellence. You will be eligible for a rate increase following the successful completion of your 90\-day probationary period.
What You’ll Do
* Focus on the Craft: Execute complex structural and finish carpentry that aligns with high\-end architectural plans and design intent.
* Lead \& Mentor: Supervise junior carpenters and apprentices, fostering a culture of true craftsmanship and professional growth.
* Strategic Coordination: Act as the bridge between the field and the office—ensuring material needs are met without having to take the "business" work home with you.
* Quality Ownership: Proactively identify build issues and lead the charge on punch list completion and final inspections.
* Manage the Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA\-compliant worksite you can actually be proud of.
What You Bring to the Table
* Mastery: Deep knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and modern power tools.
* Leadership Grit: A proven ability to guide a team and a "proactive" approach to challenges.
* Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret complex architectural plans fluently.
* Integrity: A commitment to safety, cleanliness, and the MCG mission of delivering exceptional spaces on time and on budget.
