FULL\-TIME Child and Family Therapist

The Child and Family Therapist provides individual and family therapy services to children and adolescents in office, home, school, the community, and occasionally virtually. This role focuses on assessing emotional, behavioral, and social needs; developing individualized treatment plans; and delivering evidence\-based therapeutic interventions to support healthy development and family functioning.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, maintaining timely clinical documentation, collaborating with caregivers and community providers, and making appropriate referrals — including referrals for Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) services to support client participation in therapeutic summer programming being offered on site at the Baltimore City office location.

At King Health Systems our goal is to provide individualized mental health care to individuals and families in need. We provide outpatient mental health services, psychiatric rehabilitation services, and medication management to clients in the West Baltimore Area. Our clients often have co\- occurring substance abuse disorders and are receiving PRP services to support their activities of daily living.

Location: OMHC\- at least 2 days at 3502 West Rogers Ave, Baltimore, MD 21215 and/or surrounding area

Duties and Responsibilities:

Timeliness \& Reliability \- Shows up on time, attends scheduled meetings, completes notes/documentation on time, responds to communication promptly.

  • Shows up to scheduled sessions on time.
  • Attends all Wednesday meetings at noon.
  • Completes the following:
  • Paperwork with signature by Saturday night.
  • Review process within the time frame that’s outlined in the checklist.
  • Concurrent PRP Referrals by the 10th of the month.
  • Treatment plans every six months and reassessments annually.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Role\-Specific Expertise \- Applies appropriate skills and knowledge for their specific position (e.g., clinical, EMR, admin, outreach).

  • Schedules and conducts thorough and accurate initial intakes and annual reassessments.
  • Provides regular and consistent mental health services such as individual, group, and/or family therapy to assigned clients.
  • Develops treatment goals and treatment plans that are to be updated every 6 months.
  • Professional Boundaries \& Ethics \- Maintains appropriate relationships with clients and other staff, and upholds ethical standards, including confidentiality and conduct.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality according to the federal and state guidelines and requirements.
  • Upholds the professional code of ethics.

  • Receives feedback with professionalism and openness; actively applies suggestions to improve performance and demonstrates a consistent commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • Engages regularly with scheduled supervision with a clinical supervisor (if license requires it).
  • Productivity \& Caseload Management\- Meets job\-specific expectations for sessions, tasks, or deliverables. Manages workload efficiently.

  • Completes a minimum of 25 billable units a week.
  • Quality \& Accuracy of Documentation\- Notes and records are timely, accurate, clinically sound, and Medicaid\-compliant.

  • Maintains accurate and timely clinical records consistent with COMAR regulations in EMR (electronic medical record).
  • Job Requirements:

  • Valid professional license \- LCSW\-C, LCPC, LMSW, LGPC
  • Must pass state background check
