- Assist attorneys with legal research using tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and iManage to gather relevant case law, statutes, and legal precedents.
- Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
- Manage case files electronically and physically, ensuring all documents are organized, up\-to\-date, and easily accessible through document management systems like PCLaw or other case management software.
- Conduct thorough document review and data entry to support litigation, transactional work, or regulatory compliance across diverse practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, or tribal regulations.
- Support attorneys in client interviewing processes by preparing questionnaires and summarizing client information accurately.
- Coordinate scheduling for court appearances, meetings, and depositions while maintaining effective communication with clients and external parties.
- Perform administrative tasks including filing, answering phones with professional etiquette, managing calendars, and handling correspondence to ensure seamless office operations.
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal within a busy law office environment.
- Strong knowledge of legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with iManage or similar document management systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with clarity and professionalism.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining accuracy in data entry and document review.
