Director of Business Development – Capital Markets (Real Estate \+ Tech Fundraising)

CityEmerald is seeking a highly capable Director of Business Development who will be tasked with overseeing the company's capital markets and investor relations coordination across two key fundraising verticals:
* Equity and debt capital raising for real estate developers, sponsors, and operators (development and acquisition offerings).
* Investor relations for a new social media and AI\-powered tech company, overseeing investor communications and company public relations.
This is a fast\-paced role requiring a mature, responsive and dedicated Director of Business Development, who may also undertake the role of Director of Operations to project manage various other tasks, as may be determined by the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising \& Offering Support
- Manage executive calendars specific to investor meetings, diligence calls, and capital\-raising workflows
- Organize Private Placement Memorandums (PPMs), subscription documents, NDAs, and intake materials
- Maintain investor and offering trackers, follow\-ups, and pipeline progress
- Support outbound investor communications and coordination
- Prepare offering materials for review, signature, and filing readiness
- Maintain structured virtual data rooms and document workflows
- Support equity/debt fundraising logistics for real estate offerings
- Track capital allocation pipelines and investor commitments
- Provide administrative execution support for a new social\-media\-focused platform offering
- Organize investor communications, FAQs, and offering documents
- Track offering milestones, investor responses, and required materials
- Draft correspondence, manage CRM updates, process expenses, and coordinate internal workflows
- Maintain strict confidentiality across offering materials
- Provide special\-project support to scale capital\-raise operations
- 2\+ years of sales, business development executive assistant or in another administrative capacity
- Exceptional organization and written communication skills
- Experience managing structured offering document flow
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Able to work at high speed with founder\-level follow\-through
- Discreet and precise handling of investment materials
- Bonus: familiarity with securities offerings and digital data room workflows
- Remote schedule (\+ occasional in\-person meetings, if in Montreal)
- Direct exposure to real estate and tech industry capital\-raising activities
- Ability to build and run investor relation campaigns at scale
