Our parish seeks a part\-time, 15\-hour/week Administrative Assistant to work in collaboration with our Parish Administrator and Rector to keep our congregation organized and functioning optimally. This is an onsite $20/hour, non\-exempt, not\-benefits\-eligible position. We have the flexibility to negotiate workdays and hours with the Administrative Assistant.
Tasks will include general office support such as printing, copying, scanning; overseeing keys and codes for security purposes; ordering, receiving, and unpacking office supplies orders, generation of nametags; updating sign\-up sheets; some audio\-video set\-up with training provided; generating and sending USPS mailings; maintenance of Master Calendar and official records, including some confidential financial records; and other responsibilities as may be assigned.
We seek someone with a high school, GED, or higher degree, preferably with prior experience in an administrative support role, though prior experience in a Church context is not required. Applicants need to be proficient at the use of basic Microsoft Office products and Google products including Drive, Sheets, Docs, and Forms; answering phones, emails, and in\-person requests professionally; building positive collaborative relationships with staff members (in\-person and remote, primarily the Rector and Parish Administrator), volunteers, and the general public; completing tasks on a deadline; and maintaining confidentiality.
The parish offers an amenable work environment where everyone is treated as a child of God, two\-weeks of paid leave per year, all federal holidays with the exception of two selected by the Administrative Assistant, to be replaced with the Monday after Easter Day and St. Stephen’s Day (December 26th) or proximate transferable date.
