#### Job Summary
The Front Desk Associate serves as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and vendors while providing essential administrative and operational support to the lab offices and Sample Receiving teams. This role is highly visible and client\-facing, ensuring a professional, secure, and welcoming environment. The Front Desk Associate will be responsible for greeting clients, maintaining lab security, handling inbound calls, assisting with vendor management, placing orders, and supporting inventory management. In addition to Front Desk management, this role will assist with administrative tasks, projects for the Sample Receiving department, and other ad\-hoc projects.
#### General Duties:
#### Front Desk \& Client Services:
- Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors, vendors, and clients.
- Maintain lab security by checking in vendors and visitors in compliance with company policies.
- Answer and direct inbound calls professionally, providing information and assistance to clients.
- Assist customers with placing orders for testing and ensuring proper documentation.
- Receive and process sample dropoffs, ensuring intake team receives them in a timely manner.
- Handle cash and credit payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Assist with company events as needed.
- Support office and lab operations by assisting with administrative tasks assigned by the Office Manager.
- Receive and organize deliveries from vendors, including lab inventory, office supplies, and refreshments, and coordinate with internal teams for proper distribution.
- Maintain and monitor various inventories of purchased goods, including office supplies, and lab consumables, ensuring stock levels are accurate and replenished as needed.
- Assist with tracking inventory usage, placing purchase orders, and coordinating with vendors to ensure timely restocking.
- Perform data entry and assist with documentation as needed.
- Stationary position up to 75% of the time.
- Frequently move, carry upstairs, and organize boxes and supplies, up to 30 lbs.
- Assist in organizing lab and office spaces to maintain a clean and functional work environment.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- 1\+ years of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative support role (preferably in a lab, healthcare, or other regulated industry).
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to professionally interact with clients and vendors.
- Experience in handling cash and credit transactions with attention to accuracy.
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn industryspecific software.
- Comfortable with physical tasks, including carrying and transporting items up to 30 lbs.
- Experience in maintaining and tracking inventory of purchased goods is preferred.
- Understanding of lab security and compliance (preferred but not required; training provided).
