##### Job Summary and Qualifications

The Northeast Market, including Manchester, NH, is part of HCA Healthcare’s Capital Division, a 17\-hospital Division including Virginia and New Hampshire. The Administrative Director, Cardiac and Vascular Service Lines will lead program and network development and optimization, drive growth, and direct operational and clinical performance. The Administrative Director should have experience leading these service lines and working in a multi\-hospitalhealthcare organization.

The Administrative Director will have responsibility across the full continuum of Cardiac and Vascular including cardiac disease, interventional cardiology, cardiac electrophysiology, advanced heart failure, structural heart, endovascular, cardiac surgery, \& vascular surgery. The Administrative Director is under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Medical Center with dotted line reporting to the Capital Division VP, Strategic Service Lines.

The Administrative Director will represent HCA Healthcare independently and effectively with Hospital and Division executives, physician leaders and community stakeholders. In this role, the Administrative Director will have exposure to leadership at many levels within HCA Healthcare and access to robust Cardiac and Vascular service line leadership across the HCA Healthcare enterprise. This is a matrixed position with reporting relationships to both Hospital and Division leadership.

Identify, develop, and rebuild and/or implement Cardiac and Vascular service line growth strategies in partnership with Hospital, Market, and Division leadership and other HCA Healthcare key stakeholders

Build and maintain strong relationships with affiliated, integrated and/or employed providers to develop service line strategy

Lead business planning and support strategic analytics related to new \& existing programs, services, products, and capital projects

Develop and lead service line governance inclusive of administrative and clinical leadership

Produce and disseminate monthly performance reporting including operational, clinical, market share, volume, and financial metrics to measure success of cardiac and vascular service line strategies

Network Development

Lead and/or support physician recruitment efforts

Assess and develop new access points (e.g., clinics, FSERs, Urgent Care, etc.) to expand network and continuity of care for these service lines

Network Optimization

Assess and optimize the network to ensure strong connectivity and care continuity from existing access points (urgent care, FSER, physician clinics, transferring facilities) when in need of follow\-up specialty care in cardiac and vascular service lines

Surgical \& Procedural Growth, Operations \& Service

Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop and achieve department budget targets.

Oversee aspects of Cardiac and Vascular department operations at defined hospitals including:

Staffing: Supervise inpatient and outpatient department leaders to ensure adequate staffing levels and competencies in alignment with department standards and targets.

Colleague engagement: Manage and act on engagement survey findings to build culture across the service line.

Physician engagement: Engage service line physician leaders through operations councils and working groups.

Supply management: Identify and execute on supply chain optimization opportunities; manage industry partner relationships.

Manage performance evaluation and professional development of department leaders including identification of professional development opportunities, cross\-market projects, and succession planning.

Clinical Performance

Ensure program policies and practices meet and are compliant with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery in partnership with key stakeholders.

Ensure record maintenance and data submission to designated agencies and departments in partnership with key stakeholders.

Monitors and ensures service line quality including clinical outcomes, credentialing/ privileging, processes, services, and satisfaction in partnership with key stakeholders.

Leads efforts to achieve Cardiac and Vascular specific accreditations and center of excellence designations, as determined by hospital\-leadership.

Knowledge, Skills \& Abilities

Strong business acumen and awareness of market dynamics and competitor activities.

Demonstrated ability to improve operations and financial performance.

Effectively demonstrates collaboration with multidisciplinary stakeholders.

Strong analytics skills and experience with different tools and reporting platforms.

Highly proficient with PowerPoint and Excel, able to present information in concisely \& effectively.

Demonstrated leadership competency in understanding stakeholder needs and managing expectations.

Takes prompt and proactive steps to achieve objectives.

Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory environment.

Comfort with and experience working in a matrixed environment.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree in business or healthcare administration preferred.

Travel:

Anticipated 10% outside of the Northeast Market, as needed.

Experience:

3\-5 years of comparable experience.

Experience working with multiple hospitals or geographic regions preferred.

HCA Healthcare experience preferred.
