As an Vice President Data Scientist Lead within the Home Lending Decision Science team , you will partner across Product, Marketing, Originations, and Finance to deliver executive\-grade insights and decisions. You will coordinate across a matrix of analysts, self\-source and direct high\-impact work, and turn complex analyses into compelling executive\-ready narratives and presentations. You will require strong analytical rigor, deep curiosity, and the confidence to ask “why,” challenge assumptions, and pursue promising threads of inquiry to clear conclusions and actions.
Job Responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of executive analytics; frame hypotheses and deliver clear recommendations and decks.
- Coordinate across a matrix of analysts; set quality and storytelling standards.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Originations, Finance, and Technology to source context and data.
- Pursue promising threads of inquiry; quantify impact; challenge assumptions when needed.
- Translate complex analysis into concise executive narratives and visuals.
- Manage multiple priorities; deliver quickly with rigor.
- Mentor analysts and influence senior stakeholders to decisions.
- 5\+ years of experience with SQL and at least one analytical tool such as Python, SAS, R.
- Manager\-level experience leading analytics initiatives in Home Lending, sales, marketing, or consumer finance.
- Strong analytical rigor, curiosity, and hypothesis\-driven problem solving.
- Executive communication and presentation skills; end\-to\-end data to deck ownership.
- Effective stakeholder management across product, marketing, operations, finance, and technology.
- Experience in mortgage originations, marketing analytics, and market/competitive positioning.
- Experience establishing analytics standards and workflows (documentation, peer review, reproducibility).
- Experience in a strategy or consultative role.
