Redwood Forest Foundation, Inc. (RFF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to acquiring, protecting, restoring, and sustainably managing forestlands in Northern California for the long\-term benefit of local communities. RFF owns and manages the 50,000\-acre Usal Redwood Forest as a working community forest—balancing ecological restoration, responsible timber operations, carbon stewardship, public access, and community engagement. Our work supports healthy forests, local jobs, and lasting conservation outcomes.
RFF is seeking a dependable, detail\-oriented Administrative \& Finance Support Assistant to support bookkeeping and daily office operations at our Fort Bragg Welcome Center. This is a steady, part\-time role ideal for someone who enjoys accurate financial processing, organized systems, and supporting a small mission\-driven team.
Bookkeeping \& Finance Support
- Enter bills, receipts, and transactions into QuickBooks
- Assist with Accounts Payable and basic receivables tracking
- Make bank deposits (online) and maintain deposit logs
- Organize invoices and financial records
- Support documentation preparation for monthly reconciliation
- Check and process mail (including checks and donations)
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
- Assist with donation processing, certificate mailings, supply ordering, meeting scheduling, and general admin tasks
- Provide light front\-desk/visitor and Welcome Center meeting support as needed
- 1–3 years administrative or bookkeeping experience
- Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage recurring tasks independently
- Comfortable handling confidential financial information and interacting professionally with staff, Board members, volunteers and the public
- Valid California driver’s license
- Nonprofit or small organization experience
- Familiarity with software such as donor databases, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and similar
This role does not handle payroll, reconciliations, or independent accounting decisions.
