MedStar Health is seeking a dependable and resourceful Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support to department leadership and physicians. In this role, you will help coordinate daily office activities, manage schedules and communications, organize meetings, maintain important records, and support special projects that keep the department operating efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for an administrative professional who enjoys managing multiple priorities, assisting others, and contributing to a collaborative healthcare environment. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Provide day\-to\-day administrative and clerical support to department leadership and physicians, including managing correspondence, distributing mail, answering calls, routing messages, scheduling appointments, and maintaining calendars, staff schedules, and vacation records. Coordinate meetings and events by reserving locations, arranging virtual capabilities, ordering refreshments, preparing agendas and presentation materials, recording minutes, and distributing follow\-up information. Prepare and maintain professional documents, reports, policies, letters, forms, spreadsheets, presentations, and filing systems while supporting data entry, transcription, and the collection of financial or statistical information. Coordinate office logistics, including ordering supplies, maintaining inventory and equipment, arranging travel, processing conference registrations and expense reimbursements, and assisting with licensing or credentialing activities when needed. Support routine and special projects, provide backup assistance to other office staff, and participate in departmental meetings, outreach activities, and quality and service\-improvement initiatives. Minimal Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Business\-related coursework required. Associate degree and/or administrative or secretarial training preferred. An appropriate combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered. Two years of clerical or office experience required, preferably in a healthcare environment supporting a leader or administrative function. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Strong typing and transcription skills. Proficiency with word\-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software within a Windows environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, customer\-service, and telephone skills. * Ability to stay organized, manage competing priorities, and handle information professionally. This position has a hiring range of : USD $20\.57 \- USD $36\.27 /Hr.
