As an Administrative Support Coordinator at Priority Health, you'll play a critical role in supporting members, providers, and internal teams through the coordination of authorizations, appeals, claims resolution, peer\-to\-peer reviews, and provider communications. Job Summary --------------- The Administrative Support Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting daily operations by coordinating authorization intake and processing, managing appeals and QIO appeal activities, resolving provider inquiries, scheduling peer\-to\-peer reviews, conducting claims research, and developing member and provider communications. This position serves as a key liaison across teams, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient resolution of administrative and operational matters. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to successfully manage competing priorities in a fast\-paced environment. Through effective problem\-solving, process coordination, and cross\-functional collaboration, the Admin Support Coordinator contributes to operational excellence and helps ensure a positive experience for members, providers, and internal stakeholders. Essential Functions ----------------------- Utilizes the appropriate software applications to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of office workload. Greets and communicates in a manner consistent with caring and respect and follows established policies for confidentiality. Answers telephone, takes messages, welcomes visitors and provides/relays information in a manner consistent with hospitality standards. Composes documents and independently formats, types and proofreads correspondence, memos, reports, charts, statistics, meeting minutes, newsletters, etc. Performs/coordinates basic office duties such as sorting/distributing mail, copying, filing, faxing, completing forms, and ordering/maintaining equipment/supplies. Maintains schedule/daily calendar for staff members/rooms/equipment, making independent judgments regarding priorities/rescheduling. Arranges for conference/travel, meetings as needed. Collects, compiles, and prepares data for analysis and develops systems that facilitate tracking of data. Manipulates data to develop unique reports to meet special requests and reviews reports/data to determine accuracy. Directs and maintains accountability for completion of complex, multi\-faceted programs/projects. Qualifications ------------------ Required Associate's Degree or equivalent course work in office administration/secretarial science 2 years of relevant experience in secretarial/clerical and computer skills 2 years of relevant experience in administrative projects, program management, hospital/physician office, statistical data collection and analysis 2 years of relevant experience working in a high volume service industry in business or accounting, cash handling, data systems, managed care, and Medicare product industry 2 years of relevant experience in a health care or medical research environment 2 years of relevant experience dealing with the public, preferably in the medical or customer service field 2 years of relevant experience in database development 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting directing the workload of others, specimen collection and client services About Corewell Health ------------------------- As a team member at Corewell Health, you will play an essential role in delivering personalized health care to our patients, members and our communities.
