Interior Design Assistant / Junior Design Assistant About Sarah Williams Design Sarah Williams Design is a boutique residential interior design studio serving homeowners throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We specialize in creating beautiful, functional homes that feel warm, elevated, and uniquely tailored to each client. As a small, growing business, every team member plays an important role. We work from a combination of our home office and client project sites, with projects throughout San Francisco, Marin County, Sonoma County, the East Bay, and occasionally the South Bay. We're a young, creative, hardworking team that genuinely enjoys what we do. While the environment is relaxed and supportive, the work is fast\-paced, physically active, and every day is different. Compensation $25–35/hour, negotiable depending on experience Part\-time with the opportunity to grow into full\-time as project volume increases Paid every two weeks via direct deposit Monday\-Friday schedule (no evenings, weekends, or holidays) What You'll Do No two days are the same! Responsibilities may include: Accompany the lead designer to client consultations and project site visits Drive between appointments and job sites throughout the Bay Area Take detailed project notes, measurements, and photographs Assist with sourcing furniture, finishes, and materials Place orders and track deliveries Communicate with vendors, contractors, and trades Prepare follow\-up emails and project documentation Help organize samples, materials, and project logistics Create social media content, photos, videos, and Reels Assist with administrative and occasional personal assistant errands as needed Experience with SketchUp, AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Canva, or DesignFiles, other design software is a plus but not required. About You You are: Passionate about interior design and creating beautiful spaces Organized, proactive, and dependable A positive, self\-motivated team player Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities Excited to learn and willing to jump in wherever needed Detail\-oriented and able to follow through independently Comfortable communicating professionally with clients, vendors, and contractors Creative and confident sharing design ideas and opinions Comfortable taking quality photos and videos with your phone Familiar with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or other social media platforms Someone who enjoys both creative work and hands\-on project execution Requirements Flexible availability (weekly schedules may change depending on project needs) Valid California driver's license Reliable personal vehicle required (SUV is a plus) Comfortable driving throughout the Bay Area, including Sonoma County, Marin, the East Bay, and South Bay Mileage reimbursement provided for work\-related travel Ability to lift and carry 25\+ pounds and occasionally navigate stairs while moving design materials, or décor Social media experience required Interior Design degree, certificate, or relevant coursework is preferred but not required Why Join Sarah Williams Design?
