Position Title: Appraisal Administrative Assistant Classification: Support Salary Range: $40,704 to $54,576 (Annual) $3,392 \- $4,548 (Monthly) Health insurance, Matching Retirement w/ TCDRS. Dental and vision insurance available. General Duties: Assists in the daily operations of the appraisal department. Reports to the Director of Appraisal. Specific Duties: 1\. Prepares and mails new construction and remeasure correspondence and rendition forms as directed by appraisal staff. 2\. Processes journal entries to correct property account information in prior appraisal years. 3\. Enters building permit information in appropriate accounts. 4\. Handles calls from property owners to schedule appraiser appointments for on\-site measuring and inspections. 5\. Enters ownership and mobile home information from mobile home titling reports. 6\. Mails annual requests for information to mobile home park owners. 7\. Maintains industrial plant files and pipeline schedules. 8\. Receives taxpayer renditions and distributes to appraisal staff. 9\. Serves as Appraisal Review Board liaison, including scheduling and rescheduling protest hearings, maintaining ARB calendar and member work schedules, preparing for quarterly ARB hearings, and mailing Notices of Determination/Notices of Final Order. 10\. Assists appraisers in filing and preparing BPP renditions for imaging. 11\. Assists as needed for special project research, error checks, ratio reports, etc. 12\. Performs other related appraisal and administrative duties as required or assigned by the Director of Appraisal. Minimum Qualifications: 1\. General knowledge in current accepted standards of professional appraisal methods and practices. 2\. Ability to effectively communicate with the general public in a manner that reflects positively on public service. 3\. Demonstrate high degree of initiative, integrity, and accuracy. Preferred Qualifications: 1\. Experience in mass appraisal data processing systems. Secretary, Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, Property Tax, Real Estate, Office Manager.
