Senior Bookkeeper In\-Office Accounting Role \| Financial Operations \| Accuracy \& Ownership Not just bookkeeping. Financial stewardship. This is a high\-impact, in\-office accounting role for someone who enjoys creating order, maintaining financial accuracy, supporting business operations, and ensuring that critical financial processes are completed correctly and on time. You'll serve as a trusted operational partner to the CFO while helping ensure the financial engine of the business runs smoothly every day. This position is based in York, PA and requires daily in\-person presence. This is not a remote or hybrid role. Why Join Integrity First Home Buyers? Competitive Compensation This full\-time position offers a salary of $60,000\-$70,000, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated accounting expertise. You'll own key financial processes that directly support company operations while serving as one of the primary resources for accounting questions across the organization. Variety and Impact From managing invoices and reconciliations to month\-end close, financial reporting, expense tracking, vendor payments, and supporting the CFO, every day brings meaningful work that keeps the business moving forward. Leadership Opportunity You'll work closely with the CFO while overseeing and coordinating work performed by a Virtual Assistant supporting the accounting function. This role requires someone who can prioritize work, delegate appropriately, and ensure financial tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. About the Role As Senior Bookkeeper, you'll own many of the company's day\-to\-day accounting operations while ensuring financial information remains accurate, organized, timely, and reliable. Responsibilities include: Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting operations. Process vendor invoices while ensuring proper coding, approvals, and documentation. Prepare, print, and distribute checks and process electronic payments. Initiate and process bank wire transfers accurately and securely. Complete monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations. Assist with month\-end close activities and maintain accurate financial records. Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are properly recorded. Track company expenses and ensure accurate classification. Support billing, payment processing, and vendor account management. Prepare recurring financial reports and assist with reporting requested by leadership. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal financial questions and accounting support. Coordinate workflow and task completion for the accounting Virtual Assistant. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, organization, and efficiency. Handle highly confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion. Partner closely with the CFO and other key leaders to support financial operations and organizational success. This Is NOT an Entry\-Level Bookkeeping Position This role is not designed for someone whose experience has been limited to basic accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, or administrative support. We're looking for someone who has independently owned accounting processes, understands the importance of accuracy and internal controls, and can confidently manage multiple financial responsibilities with minimal oversight. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong judgment, excellent organization, urgency, confidentiality, and the ability to consistently execute critical financial tasks without sacrificing accuracy. What You Bring 5\+ years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered. Experience supporting real estate, construction, property management, or project\-based accounting environments is strongly preferred. Strong experience using QuickBooks in a professional business environment. Demonstrated experience completing month\-end close activities and account reconciliations. Experience maintaining an accurate general ledger. Experience processing invoices, payments, checks, and bank wire transfers. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion. Strong technology skills and comfort learning new systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience supporting leadership and working collaboratively across departments. Experience coordinating or overseeing support staff is preferred. Ability and willingness to work on\-site in York, PA every workday.
