Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail\-oriented Funeral Home Assistant to oversee daily office operations and support families throughout the funeral planning process. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth case progression, maintaining clear communication with families, coordinating service details, and managing outstanding case balances with professionalism and empathy. Key Responsibilities Oversee funeral case progression from first call through service completion and final documentation. Serve as a primary point of contact for families, providing timely updates and clear communication. Coordinate service logistics, including scheduling, paperwork flow, and internal handoffs between departments. Ensure accuracy and completeness of case files, contracts, and required administrative records. Monitor and follow up on outstanding case balances in a respectful, policy\-aligned manner. Work with funeral directors and staff to keep services on schedule and operations running efficiently. Assist in identifying process gaps and improving office workflows. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Support general front office and administrative duties as needed. Qualifications 2\+ years of office management, funeral service administration, healthcare administration, or related experience preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills, especially in emotionally sensitive situations. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast\-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail. Comfortable with billing follow\-up, account tracking, and documentation. Proficiency in office software and case management systems.
