In this vital role, you will oversee the entire revenue cycle process, ensuring accurate billing, accounts receivable management, and compliance with financial standards. The Revenue Cycle \& Payroll Analyst is responsible for overseeing and verifying the full revenue cycle for services rendered under the Maryland Medicaid Autism Waiver Program. This includes weekly remittance advice reconciliation, verification of billing against client service logs and EVV/LTSS systems, denial resolution, reporting, and bi\-weekly payroll preparation.This role serves as the control point between service delivery, billing, and payroll, ensuring that services billed were authorized, delivered, documented, and paid — and that technicians are compensated accurately and compliantly. The role requires a highly detail\-oriented, independent professional with strong experience in Maryland Medicaid Waiver billing and payroll support. Location: Remote (Maryland\-based organization; occasional virtual and limited in\-person meetings) Schedule: 20 hours per week (hours flex during remittance and payroll weeks) Department: Finance / Operations Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Core Responsibilities Weekly Revenue \& Billing Oversight Review all system\-generated billing for services rendered under the Maryland Autism Waiver Reconcile the weekly Remittance Advice (RA) against submitted claims to identify: Paid claims Denials Rejected line items Underpayments Investigate, correct, resubmit, and track denied or unpaid claims Monitor billing trends, revenue leakage, and payer issues EVV, LTSS, \& Service Verification Verify service delivery using EVV and Maryland LTSS systems to confirm: Technicians worked scheduled and authorized hours Services billed align with delivered and approved services Ensure EVV compliance and resolve time discrepancies Work with Service Delivery and Quality Assurance to address documentation gaps Payroll Preparation (Bi\-Weekly) Prepare bi\-weekly payroll based on approved service logs and verified time entries Reconcile payroll hours against EVV and billing data Submit payroll summaries for leadership review and final approval Reporting \& Analysis Generate and maintain weekly and monthly reports, including: Billing vs. payment reconciliation Revenue tracking by client and service Denial and rejection trend analysis Payroll summaries Maintain organized digital records in Google Drive Compliance \& Audit Support Ensure compliance with: Maryland Medicaid billing rules COMAR regulations EVV and LTSS requirements Internal financial controls Support audits, documentation requests, and compliance reviews Maintain HIPAA and confidentiality standards at all times Client Logs \& Documentation Review Review technician service logs (client\-submitted and technician\-completed) Ensure logs meet Medicaid, COMAR, and documentation requirements Flag missing, inaccurate, or non\-compliant documentation prior to billing or payroll Required Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent professional experience Experience 3\-5 years of experience in: Medicaid billing and revenue cycle management Remittance advice reconciliation Payroll preparation or payroll support Direct experience with Maryland Autism Waiver billing strongly preferred Hands\-on experience with: EVV systems Maryland LTSS or similar state service authorization portals Time\-entry and billing platforms Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets, Docs, and Drive Strong reconciliation and reporting skills Comfort working across multiple cloud\-based platforms in a remote environment Core Competencies Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision High ethical standards and sound judgment Clear written and verbal communication Process\-driven and deadline\-focused Work Environment \& Schedule Fully remote in Maryland 20 hours per week with flexibility during payroll and remittance cycles Must consistently meet weekly billing and bi\-weekly payroll deadlines Compensation Hourly Rate: $30\-$35 per hour Estimated Annual (20 hrs/week): \~$31,200 Final rate dependent on: Maryland Autism Waiver experience EVV/LTSS proficiency Payroll and revenue\-cycle depth Why This Role Is Critical?
