Job Title: Administrative Assistant Company: EMI Security / REKKR Tactical Concepts Location: Bassett, VA Job Type: Full Time / Overtime Job Overview We are seeking a proactive, detail\-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to our team and ensure efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized problem solver with excellent communication skills who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast\-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Calendar and Meeting Management: Manage complex calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings (including virtual meetings), service, installation, and site visits. This includes preparing agendas and taking detailed meeting minutes. Document preparation for training manuals Communication Handling: Answer and direct phone calls, greet visitors, and handle incoming and outgoing correspondence (emails, letters, memos, faxes) in a professional and timely manner. Providing “First Line”support to customers requesting service. Document and File Management: Create, edit, scan, print, and proofread documents, reports, and presentations. Maintain and organize efficient physical and digital filing systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Office Operations Support: Monitor and maintain office supply inventory, place orders when necessary, and coordinate equipment maintenance. Data Entry and Record Keeping: Perform accurate data entry and maintain databases. Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as tracking expenses and processing invoices. General Support: Provide general administrative support to managers and other staff members as needed, which may include assisting with special projects and supporting basic Human Resources functions like onboarding. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: Strong social skills, Social Media Influencing and advertising. Comfortable interaction with the public. Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or Google Workspace. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities with a strong attention to detail. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor. Soft Skills: A proactive approach, problem\-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Friendly and energetic in person and “through the phone”. Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is a plus.
