- Effectively represents the President as assigned in selected internal and external interactions with the College's Board of Trustees, senior leadership team, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and various external entities, including public officials in various civic, community and professional organizations at the local, state, national, and international level.
- Serves as liaison to the College Board of Trustees on matters not directly managed by the President.
- Manages program support activities and matters of institutional significance for the Board on behalf of, and in concert with, the President. Aids in communications with the board and the community, including management of online board postings (online software and website).
- Schedules and organizes board meetings, executive committee meetings, and committee meetings; coordinates with the senior leadership team to ensure committee meeting schedules align.
- Coordinates meeting materials, agendas, and supporting documents for the Board of Trustees and executive leadership meetings.
- Prepares, records, and maintains meeting minutes, summaries, and supporting documentation for boards, committees, and leadership meetings as needed.
- Coordinates logistics for meetings, events, and executive functions, including but not limited to scheduling, travel arrangements, accommodations, and related preparations.
- Serves as a trusted steward of highly confidential information and as needed, acts as a liaison between the President and internal and external stakeholders on key matters.
- Manages and advises the President on day\-to\-day operational and administrative functions of the College and the Office of the President, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness and optimizing use of available resources. Oversees special projects both internally and externally for the President in support of institutional priorities. Ensures the accurate, proper, and timely flow of information to and from the Office of the President in support of recurring and special projects.

- Master's degree required in communications, business, or related field.
- Five (5\) to eight (8\) years of supervisory and management experience, including experience with administrative responsibilities, governance, and budgeting. Demonstrated experience in an administrative management position that involved the coordination of organizational workflow and priorities. Must have experience with board management.
- Experience resolving conflicts, problem solving, change management and encouraging partnerships and collaboration.
- Successful mid\-to\-senior level management experience in a private or public, four\-year institution of higher education or successful upper management level experience in a complex working environment.
- Experience overseeing and tracking project workflow.
- Experience effectively managing change and helping establish best practices that are tailored to unique needs and capabilities.
- Experience working effectively with a wide range of audiences such as trustees, vice presidents, faculty, staff, students, alumni, community groups, donors, and elected officials.
- Academic or Professional doctorate (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D., J.D.) degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education is preferred.
- Seven (7\) to ten (10\) plus years prior relevant work experience in higher education as a College/University administrative officer and/or senior cabinet\-level unit/division (i.e., Assistant or Associate Vice President, Vice President, etc.) head or other senior\-level experience in a complex business working environment.

### Description
St. Mary’s College of Maryland, a public, a non\-sectarian, co\-educational, liberal arts institution, is accepting résumés for the position of Administrative Director and Board Liaison in the Office of the President. The Administrative Director and Board Liaison will provide leadership and strategic administrative support towards the implementation and actualization of the President's vision, strategic initiatives, and overall institutional priorities. The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This position reports to the Office of the President.
St. Mary's College of Maryland, the National Public honors College, is located in Historic St. Mary's City, 70 miles southeast of Washington, D.C. St. Mary’s College is one of the nation’s best public liberal arts colleges – ranked near the top in U.S. News \& World Report and a Best Value for in\-state and out\-of\-state students. Responsibilities
As an integral member of the President's senior leadership team, the Administrative Director and Board Liaison will lead and coordinate executive, administrative, and operational functions, including but not limited to the following:
