    What will I do?

    As a Legal Assistant, you will provide high\-level administrative support to the Legal team in our corporate headquarters located in Madison, NJ. Stephen Gould offers a hybrid work environment, with this role requiring at least three (3\) days per week in office.

    The office is a busy hub for Stephen Gould, and in this role, you must be comfortable communicating with all levels of employees, be highly organized and detailed oriented, and driven to adhere to deadlines in a fast\-paced setting.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide high\-level operational and administrative support to the Legal team.
  • Schedule meetings and manage calendars.
  • Draft and format routine correspondence, memos, and cover letters.
  • Assist with file and document management, including signature logistics.
  • Assist with contract operations, including routing contracts for signature, and tracking contract execution status.
  • Handle certificate of insurance requests and support customs inquiries.
  • Provide litigation support, such as litigation hold administration, docket calendar management, coordination with outside counsel and insurance carriers, and monitoring discovery compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Role Requirements

  • 5\-7 years of administrative experience supporting a legal team or in a legal operations environment.
  • Associate degree in business or related discipline preferred.
  • Experience working in a corporate sales or a service operations related environment preferred.
  • Basic understanding of legal procedures, requirements, and litigation processes.
  • Excellent proofreading and grammar skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi\-task effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, including responsiveness to time\-sensitive requests and the ability to route urgent matters appropriately.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and virtual communication and collaboration tools including Microsoft Teams, Webex and Zoom.
  • Familiarity with AI tools to support legal operations and document workflow.
