Job Overview

I am seeking a part time paralegal specializing in estate and trust administration to join my law firm. Candidates should have at least 5 to 10 years of probate experience, be very organized, and have strong attention to detail and multi\-tasking ability. The position's responsibilities include all aspects of probate and trust administration (706 filing experience is a plus). I have a sole practice with two paralegals and have practiced law in the Sarasota area for over 40 years with an emphasis on estate and trust planning and administration. My team works closely and very well with one another. Duties

  • Assist attorney with estate planning, probate proceedings, and estate administration processes.
  • Manage and organize legal documents using document management systems such as Displaysoft ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents for opening, administering and closing of estates and trusts.
  • Coordinate client interviews and gather necessary information through effective interviewing techniques.
  • Support case management efforts by tracking case deadlines, court filings, and maintaining organized case files in compliance with legal standards.
  • Provide administrative assistance including filing, scheduling appointments, managing phone etiquette, and supporting executive administrative functions as needed.
  • Qualifications

  • Proven paralegal experience (at least 3 to 5 years) in the estate and trust administration area.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast\-paced environment.
  • Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with clarity and professionalism.
  • Effective interviewing skills for client intake and working with the client throughout the probate and administration process.
  • Familiarity with administrative tasks such as Clerk of Court and Simplifile filing systems, data entry, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette to interact effectively with clients and team members.

Pay: $26\.00 \- $34\.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sarasota, FL 34237
