In this role, you’ll provide vital administrative, logistical, and operational support to the maintenance section helping track maintenance activities, manage inventory and purchasing, coordinate schedules, support emergency operations, and ensure accurate reporting and documentation. You’ll work closely with maintenance leadership to keep daily operations running smoothly and efficiently while supporting work that directly impacts roadway safety and mobility.     Position Description Maintenance Support Tech III:

    Performs administrative support\-related work in a maintenance office or district headquarters and for one or more projects and/or specialized programs. May serve as a lead worker. Work requires contact with high\-level managers, executives, governmental officials and private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.

    Maintenance Support Tech IV:

    Performs administrative support\-related work in a maintenance office or district headquarters and for one or more projects and/or

    specialized programs. May serve as a lead worker. Work requires contact with high\-level managers, executives, governmental

    officials and private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives.

    Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.

    Essential Duties:Maintenance Support Tech III:

  • Creates and maintains related activity logs, files and reports on services
  • Inputs and maintains daily production reports and compiles monthly reports for manager.
  • May serve as a lead worker and the related tasks.
  • Prepares monthly and final maintenance contract estimates
  • Answers the telephone, evaluates requests, answers questions, routes messages, and/or serves as receptionist or front desk assistant.
  • Edits correspondence, reports, forms, and documents for proper format, spelling, grammar, punctuation, typographical errors, syntax, style, sentence structure, content, and clarity
  • Maintains materials inventory.
  • Monitors and assists with data entry for maintenance contract record keeping.
  • Maintains calendars for department personnel to include scheduling meetings, coordinating and making appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
  • Maintenance Support Tech IV:

    Includes all essential duties listed for Maintenance Support Tech IV: as well as:

  • Composes and prepares correspondence and applicable recurring or special one\-time reports and/or confidential and sensitive communications.
  • Trains other clerical or technical staff.
  • Answers the telephone, evaluates requests, answers questions, routes messages, and/or serves as receptionist or front desk assistant.
  • Reviews, prepares and negotiates applicable program purchases for services, office materials, supplies, tools or equipment and monitors service agreements.
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

  • High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.

    #### Experience:

  • 3 years of experience administrative or clerical support, customer service, or related experience. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). College education and/or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications

    #### Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.

  • High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.

  • 4 years of experience administrative or clerical support, customer service, or related experience. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent).
