    Overview

    Our staff pharmacist position have undergone an exciting transformation, moving from a transaction\-based environment to a much more patient\-centric one.     Responsibilities

  • In accordance with state and federal regulations, assists the PIC, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assists the PIC in the performance of other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Manage staff in a pharmacy setting, including training and discipline
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately collect and enter patient personal and medical information into the system
  • Prepare and organize digital documents for data entry and profile creation
  • Generate documents for signature and coordinate delivery via email or signature platforms
  • Review documents for completeness and accuracy; make corrections when needed
  • Maintain and organize digital records, scan documents, and manage electronic filing systems
  • Transcribe handwritten or verbal data into digital format
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and compliance
  • Type prescriptions and process claims through Workers’ Compensation systems
  • Communicate professionally with law firms, adjusters, and medical offices to follow up on prescriptions and forms
  • Track case and prescription statuses using calendar systems and task automation tools
  • Provide timely follow\-ups with patients regarding medication deliveries and required documentation
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently via phone, text, and email
  • Case status follow up with 3rd parties
  • Process, fill, and review prescription orders
  • Package and send out prescriptions
  • Obtain, verify or change medications with provider offices
  • Customer Experience

  • Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g.,

  • greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
  • Develops strong relationships with most valuable customers.
  • Operations

  • Under the supervision by the PIC, assist in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy. Reviews and complies with the Brightside Specialty Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
  • Performs duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions. Assists pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow.
  • Reports, immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adheres to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
  • Strictly adheres to the Brightside Specialty Pharmacy Good Faith Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities.
  • Responsible and accountable for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, collects and handles cash as required. Takes customer to OTC aisle when possible to assist in locating products.
  • Handles telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.
  • Processes (corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performs other clerical duties, as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
  • Assists and supports Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as, ordering, unpacking, checking and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of Company asset protection techniques, and files claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not received), order errors or damaged goods involving Rx drugs.
  • May assist pharmacist in administering clinical services including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other clinical services as required; assists pharmacy staff in coordination of clinical services.
  • Assists Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in developing and maintaining good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers, by medical provider detailing and outreach to health groups, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for enhancing growth opportunities.
  • Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat and orderly in condition and appearance.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
  • Training \& Personal Development

  • Earns and maintains PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration. Otherwise, earns PTCB certification as condition of promotion to senior technician.
  • Attends training and completes learning requested by Manager and acquires continuing education credits. Maintains knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest news and developments.
  • Administrative Assistant Duties

    The core duties and responsibilities of an Administrative Assistant revolve around supporting others. Their job duties can vary widely, not just from job to job, but from day to day at the same job. On any given day, they may perform a variety of tasks, such as:

    · Answer phones and greet visitors, screening and routing callers to the appropriate party

    · Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e\-mail, and mail

    · Provide general support to visitors

    · Act as a point of contact for internal and external clients

    · Schedule appointment and maintain calendars, providing real\-time scheduling and prevent conflicts

    · Organize, schedule and coordinate staff and other meetings

    · Collate and distribute mail

    · Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence.

    · Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents

    · Using computers to generate reports

    · Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical

    · Manage accounts and perform bookkeeping

    · Handle administrative request and queries from direct supervisor(s)

    · Organizing and scheduling appointments with admin software

    · Planning meetings and taking detailed minutes

    · Handle office tasks, such as filing, generating reports and presentations, setting up for meetings, and reordering office supplies and medication stock

    · Making travel arrangements, such as booking flights, cars, and making hotel and restaurant reservations

    · Anticipate the needs of others in order to ensure their seamless and positive experience.

    · Updating and maintaining office policies and procedures

    · Maintaining contact list

    · Submit and reconcile expense reports

    In order to perform their various duties, an Administrative Assistant must exhibit many varied skills and qualifications. At the core, the Administrative Assistant is a support position, meaning that communications and decision\-making are paramount. A few of the specific skills that all administrative assistants should possess include:

    * Decision\-making: Administrative Assistants have to make independent decisions on a daily basis, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks.

    * Communications and collaboration: An Administrative Assistant must collaborate with other administrators and support personnel, management and clients on a regular basis.

    * Writing: Spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and writing are essential to an Administrative Assistant, who must be proficient in a variety of styles, from creative to professional to technical to education and more.
