Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Contract Network Engineer / Security Systems Consultant to support the design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of commercial\-grade network infrastructure for camera surveillance, access control, and smart property systems.

This is not a full\-time position. We are looking for a highly skilled consultant or contractor we can rely on as needed for:

• New system installations
• Multi\-building / multi\-switch network deployments
• On\-site and remote troubleshooting
• Ongoing support for existing client systems

The ideal candidate must have deep hands\-on experience with TP\-Link Omada switches, routers, and cloud management, and must understand how to build and support large\-scale, segmented networks that support:

* IP camera systems

* NVRs

* Access control systems

* Intercoms

* Remote management environments

This role is ideal for someone who has worked on larger commercial deployments, not just small office or residential networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy
commercial network infrastructure for security and access control systems
• Install and support
TP\-Link Omada managed switches, routers, gateways, and cloud\-managed environments
• Configure and troubleshoot
TP\-Link Essentials / Omada cloud management systems
• Build and support
segmented / multi\-network environments, including separation of:
• CCTV networks
• Access control networks
• Resident / management / admin networks
• Assist with installations involving:

* 10–30\+ switches and routers

• Multiple IDFs / MDFs
• Fiber uplinks / backbone connectivity
• Structured cabling coordination
• Configure switch ports, uplinks, VLANs, DHCP, routing, gateway settings, and remote access
• Work alongside field installers to ensure clean and reliable deployment of networked security systems
• Diagnose and resolve:
• Network outages
• Device communication failures
• PoE issues
• VLAN / routing problems
• Camera / NVR / controller connectivity issues
• Provide
remote and on\-site support for client systems after installation
• Help standardize and improve deployment methods for future projects

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a
Network Engineer, Systems Integrator, or Security Network Specialist
• Strong hands\-on experience with
TP\-Link Omada
• Strong knowledge of:

* Omada managed switches

* Omada routers / gateways

* Cloud\-managed deployments

* TP\-Link Essentials / Omada controller environments

• Strong understanding of:
• VLANs
• Subnetting
• Routing
• DHCP
• NAT
• Firewalls
• PoE switching
• Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking

· We are not looking for a generic IT support technician.

Schedule / Work Arrangement

* Project\-based / as needed

• On\-site work in
Miami / South Florida

* Remote client support is also required

• Flexible availability preferred for scheduled installs and troubleshooting calls
