We are seeking a detail\-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to support daily front office operations in a fast\-paced growing and modern healthcare environment. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients while also providing administrative support, including document handling, fax communications, and acting as a liaison between patients and medical staff.. This role involves greeting patients, managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth daily operations of the medical office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Outreach, Notify, Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Maintain and update patient records in electronic medical systems (EHR/EMR)
  • Verify insurance information and collect co\-pays or outstanding balances
  • Send, receive, and track faxes, including medical records, referrals, and physician orders
  • Ensure all incoming faxed documents are properly routed, filed, and documented
  • Act as a patient liaison by communicating between patients, providers, and external offices
  • Assist patients with questions regarding appointments, forms, labs, and basic procedures
  • Coordinate referrals and follow\-ups with specialists, labs, and insurance providers
  • Manage front desk workflow and maintain a clean, organized reception area
  • Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry
  • Coordination of office outreach, marketing, social media, team outings, and Meetings.
  • Required Skills \& Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
  • Previous experience in a medical office or administrative role preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare workflows
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast\-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Experience handling confidential information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with medical clinical operations
  • Billing EOBs and procedures
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and referral processes
  • Prior experience managing fax systems and medical documentation workflows
  • Prior experience with EMRs
  • Well versed in technology and use of computers
  • Work Environment:

  • Clinical or office setting with frequent patient interaction
  • Requires sitting, standing, and use of office equipment (phones, computers, fax machines)
  • Equipment/Environment to complete remote work

  • The medical office front desk receptionist mainly uses telephones and computers to communicate with patients and staff, so they must have basic knowledge of computers. Medical office front desk receptionists must interact frequently with patients, medical professionals, and supervisors, meaning they must have excellent communication skills and be personable.

    Front Desk Receptionist, Medical Office Tasks:

  • Compile and record medical charts, reports, and correspondence.
  • Interview patients to complete insurance and privacy forms.
  • Receive insurance co\-pay payments and post amounts paid to patient accounts.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, check\-ups and physician referrals.
  • Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff.

    Pay: $17\.00 \- $20\.00 per hour
