How you'll contribute
A Medical Assistant who excels in this role:
- Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.
- Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
- Documents patient care given.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain examination areas.
- Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- Exhibits exceptional customer service with patients and teammates.
- Medical Assistant License Required: CMA, RMA, or CCMA must be obtained within 60 days of hire
- BLS or CPR certification within 30 days of hire
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions

Canyon Vista Medical Center was founded in 1963 as Western Baptist Osteopathic Hospital on what was then the eastern edge of Sierra Vista. Growth and advancing technology dictated building the 177,000 square foot hospital at 5700 E Hwy 90\.
