Role Description
This is a full time role for a Sales Manager covering North America. The Sales Manager will oversee business development and sales operations in the North American region, building and maintaining client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and achieving sales targets. Responsibilities include devising sales strategies, providing exceptional customer support and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver tailored machinery solutions. The Sales Manager will also represent Shawpak at industry events and build a strong presence in the medical packaging sector.
COMPETENCIES
- Educated to degree level and/or a minimum of five years’ experience of Capital Goods Sales
- Experience of selling packaging machinery into the Medical Device Industry is a distinct advantage
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Good computer skills to encompass Microsoft \& Salesforce CRM
- A competent knowledge and experience of working with medical packaging and/or devices and international standards
- Have a strong eye for detail with the ability to identify and solve problems
- Understanding of Medical Device Packaging regulatory requirements
- Experience in International Travel and Sales
- A technically competent knowledge of packaging machines
- A competent knowledge of packaging materials
- Have a positive attitude with a professional, patient and approachable personality

MAIN TASKS
1\. Sales Pipeline
a. Build a pipeline of prospect orders in line with the business sales plan requirements
b. Build and grow the shawpak prospect customer database
c. Generate new business from new customers
d. Generate sales revenues in line with the shawpak business plan and sales target
e. Update business CRM with customer and prospect contacts, customer interactions
2\. Account Management and Territory
a. Key account management of multinational customers – as agreed with Sales Director
b. Direct Sales to domestic and export customers in territories agreed with Sales Director
c. Management of Overseas sales agents as agreed with Sales Director
3\. Attend domestic and overseas trade shows
a. Set up stand
b. Set up and operate the machine on show
c. Help sales admin with show preparation – marketing, literature
4\. Attend monthly sales meetings
a. Provide sales pipeline and project updates per month to Sales Director
