Senior Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. Duties

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Oversee cash management activities, including forecasting, cash flow analysis, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act) controls and regulatory reporting requirements for governmental and non\-profit organizations.
• Lead month\-end and year\-end closing procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial report writing.
• Support technical accounting projects such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, and other complex transactions.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms to streamline workflows.
• Assist with budgeting processes, financial analysis, and forecasting to support organizational planning.
• Collaborate with internal teams on audit preparations and liaise with external auditors to facilitate smooth audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles with a focus on governmental or non\-profit sectors highly desirable.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, and regulatory reporting standards.
• Strong expertise in financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits \& credits, account reconciliation, and balance sheet management.
• Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar platforms; experience with financial management tools is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to perform detailed financial analysis and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.

Pay: $81,275\.37 \- $147,880\.01 per year
