Under general supervision, the Research Assistant supports a dedicated research site, therapeutic area and/or administrative area and is responsible for research support duties.
- Works individually or as part of a project team. Presents findings to higher level staff.
- Performs various research support tasks such as scheduling and preparation of materials for research\-related meetings, organization of study training materials, preparation of materials for submission to grant agencies, and literature searches.
- Assists study staff with project planning and logistical management of projects.
- Assists with process improvement and standardization.
- Prepares, maintains, and reports on research activities.
- May assist with department functions, including subject visits, specimen processing and shipments, and data entry.
- May initiate contact with sponsors for new or prospective research projects, maintain documentation of sponsor correspondence, and assist with coordination of project implementation.
- May assist with preparation and maintenance of compliance, contracting, and regulatory processes.
- May collaborate with research manager, principal investigator, and external department leaders to evaluate and identify issues that may impact the feasibility of conducting a study.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on the needs of varying therapeutic areas and office settings.
