Overview
We are seeking a detail\-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role involves managing day to day financial records, payroll entry, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software and a solid understanding of financial concepts, double\-entry bookkeeping, payroll, and account reconciliation. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Fresh Books, and other relevant platforms.
- Perform general ledger accounting and reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy
- Prepare and post journal entries, including debits \& credits, for various financial transactions
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently
- Conduct bank reconciliations and account analysis to verify data integrity
- Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings
- Support budgeting activities and financial report writing for internal and external stakeholders
- Handle administrative duties such as data entry, document management, and correspondence related to financial activities
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Fresh Books, and other financial tools
- Strong understanding of accounting principles such as double\-entry bookkeeping, debits \& credits, and journal entries
- Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation
- Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and tax experience is a plus
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation accurately
- Familiarity with payroll processing and budgeting procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry tasks
- Strong written communication skills for financial report writing and documentation purposes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively
